Information we handle

• Account and contact details: name, email, organization, login details managed by our authentication provider, support messages, and your communication preferences.
• Business and analysis inputs: website URLs, business profiles, locations, prompts, competitors, connected-service settings, and information you choose to submit for analysis.
• Results: website checks, crawler-access observations, AI and search responses, reports, and actions taken in the service. A free check uses publicly accessible pages; we store the check result, not a copy of every page fetched.
• Technical and usage data: IP address, browser/device information, page views, feature events, and—when analytics recording is enabled—session recordings used to understand and improve the app. App analytics may be linked to a signed-in account. The free-check rate limit stores a keyed hash of the visitor IP rather than the plain IP in the check record.
• Partner data: when a partner enables LegitGeo for its customer, the partner may provide business identifiers and profile details needed to create a limited visibility account. The partner can receive the resulting summary and usage status.
• Payment data: if paid checkout becomes available, a payment processor handles card details. We receive transaction and subscription status, not full card numbers.

How we use it

We use this information to provide checks, monitoring, reports, partner integrations, account access, support, billing, abuse prevention, and service improvement. We send optional marketing email only when you choose it; operational messages may still be needed to run an account. AI visibility measurements are samples, not a record of every answer shown to every person.

Service providers and sharing

Hosting, database/authentication, email, analytics, payment, and AI/search-data providers may process information to deliver the relevant feature. A connected Google property is accessed only after its owner authorizes the connection. When you use a partner-provided experience, we share the limited results and status needed for that partner to offer the feature. We do not sell account or free-check contact details to data brokers. We may disclose information when legally required or to protect the service.

Cookies and analytics

We use necessary cookies or similar storage for sign-in, security, preferences, and temporary report access. When enabled, app analytics may use cookies or local storage to measure usage and record sessions; signed-in activity may be associated with your account. Browser settings can limit cookies, though sign-in may stop working. We do not currently use targeted-advertising cookies on the LegitGeo marketing site.

Retention and security

We keep account and business data while the service is used and for a reasonable period afterward when needed for support, security, disputes, or legal obligations. Public-check results and contact requests are kept only as long as needed for those purposes and can be requested for deletion. Retention depends on the data type and purpose; backups may take additional time to expire. We use access controls, encrypted transport, and other safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and rights

You can request access, correction, export, or deletion of your personal information, disconnect an integration, or opt out of marketing email. Some requests may be limited by law or by information we must keep for security and records. Depending on where you live, additional privacy rights may apply. Contact us to make a request; we may need to verify your identity. We will not discriminate against you for exercising applicable rights.

International use and children

Our providers may process information in countries other than yours. LegitGeo is for business use and is not directed to children under 16. Please do not submit children's personal information.
