Leave a change out of measurement
Stop measuring a change that never happened, was logged by mistake or was undone, and bring it back later if you need to.
When to leave a change out
Leave a change out when it never happened, was logged by mistake or twice, or was undone. A left-out change stays on the list, dimmed, but it is not measured, it is not counted as verified or still measuring, and it is never added to the lift library.
It also stops blurring your other changes. Two changes to the same answers in the same weeks keep each other from being Verified. Once one is left out, the other can be measured on its own. If the other change is still measuring, its next nightly update measures it on its own. If it already has its verdict, select Measure now on it.
Leave a change out
On the Proof page, find the change.

The change dims and its pill reads Left out. Its reading is hidden and Measure now goes away.
Bring a change back
Find the change. It is dimmed and its pill reads Left out.

Check the pill. It reads Measuring again, or shows the verdict the change already had, or Planned for a plan.

Nothing is lost while a change is left out. It is measured from its go-live date as before.
For a Diagnosis fix or an Action Center action that Proof left out because you reopened or dismissed it, mark the fix done or complete the action again instead. Measure this again lasts only until the next nightly update, which leaves it out again.
Changes Proof leaves out by itself
A Diagnosis fix that Diagnosis still finds the next time it runs is left out, with “The next readiness check still found this problem, so it is left out of measurement.” Diagnosis runs only when someone selects Run again on the Diagnosis page.
A Diagnosis fix you reopen or dismiss, or an Action Center action that is no longer completed, is left out at the next nightly update.
If you mark that fix done again, or complete that action again, it is measured again from the new date.
There is no way to delete a change. Leave out has the same effect on your results.
