How long a verdict takes, and what you see meanwhile

A verdict arrives about 31 days after a change goes live, after three days for assistants to re-read your pages and four weeks of new answers, and until then Proof shows an interim reading.

Updated

The timeline

Every change is judged on two four-week windows, so its verdict arrives about 31 days after it goes live.

The 28 days before the change are what the weeks after it are compared with. LegitGeo already has these answers, so this part is ready the day the change appears.

The first 3 days after it goes live are skipped, to give assistants time to re-read your pages.

The next 28 days are the after window. Proof updates the reading every night as answers arrive.

About day 31 the after window closes, and the change gets its verdict on the next nightly update. The change shows the date in advance, for example “Verdict on Nov 20, 2026.”

For example, a fix marked done on October 20 starts its after window on October 23 and gets its verdict on November 20.

When a change first appears

A change you log on the Proof page appears at once, with a first reading of the four weeks before it. A change an AI tool logs for you also appears at once, and gets its first reading at the next nightly update.

A Diagnosis fix you mark done, or an Action Center action you complete, appears after the next nightly update. Its go-live time is the moment you marked it done or completed it.

For a Diagnosis fix, Proof also checks that the fix is live, using the next time Diagnosis runs. Diagnosis runs only when someone selects Run again on the Diagnosis page, and each run uses one of your plan’s monthly diagnoses (20 on Local, 60 on Growth, 200 on Agency). After the fix is live, select Run again. If that run no longer finds the problem, Proof notes the fix is confirmed. If it still finds it, the fix is left out of measurement. See Leave a change out of measurement.

A change you log with a go-live date more than 31 days ago (and no more than 90) gets its verdict as soon as you log it. Without four weeks of answers before that date, the verdict is Not proven.

What you see meanwhile

  1. On the Proof page, find a change with the pill Measuring.

The pill (1), the reading (2) and Measure now (3). Demo business, captured October 23, 2026.
A Diagnosis fix that went live on October 20, 2026, with the pill Measuring and the reading Not enough answers, 0 of the 172 answers per window needed to see a 15-point change.
  2. Read the reading on the right. For the first few days it says Not enough answers, for example “0 of the 172 answers per window needed to see a 15-point change”. The after window has not started yet, so this is expected.

  3. To update the reading before tonight’s update, select Measure now.

  4. Check back once answers arrive. The reading then shows, for example, “+6 points so far” with “Interim, 95% range −4 to +16. Verdict on Nov 20, 2026.” and a bar that fills over the four weeks.

Important

An interim reading is not a result. It moves as answers arrive, and only the final reading gets a verdict. Wait for the verdict before you decide whether a change worked.

When the verdict arrives

  1. Read the line under the title. “live Sep 17, 2026” is the day the change went live.

The go-live date (1) and the verdict (2). Demo business, captured October 23, 2026.
A finished change that went live on September 17, 2026, with the pill Verified and the reading +18 points.
  2. Look at the pill. About 31 days after that date it changes from Measuring to the verdict, here Verified.

How often it updates

Proof updates every change still being measured once a night, using the answers collected so far. Measure now does the same straight away. Neither costs anything or uses your allowance.

A finished change is not updated at night. Its verdict stays as it is unless you select Measure now on it, which works it out again from the same four weeks of answers, for example after you leave out a change that overlapped it. If you mark its Diagnosis fix done again, a new measurement starts from the new date.

Changes that take longer or end without an answer

A change aimed at a few questions or one assistant collects few answers a day, and may end as Not proven.

A change made in your first weeks with LegitGeo has fewer answers from the four weeks before it, so there is less to compare with.

A change aimed at every assistant and every question has none of your own answers left to compare with. It needs other businesses to compare with; without them it shows “Nothing to compare against yet” and can be at most Probably helped.

A planned change is not measured until you select It's live now. See Plan a change before you make it.

A change you leave out is not measured at all.

Frequently asked questions

Can I get a verdict sooner?

No. The windows are the same for every change, so every change is judged the same way. To get a clearer verdict on a future change, track more questions about it at least four weeks before you make it.

Why does my new change say Not enough answers?

The four weeks of answers after the change start three days after it goes live. Until answers arrive there is nothing to compare, so the reading says Not enough answers.
