Work through your fix list and confirm each fix is live
Start with the fixes marked Do first, mark each one done when it is live, run Diagnosis again to confirm it, and turn the list into a 90-day plan.
Start with the fixes marked Do first
Every diagnosis ends with a fix list, most important first. It is on the Diagnosis page.
In the sidebar, select Diagnosis. The Fix list tab is open under the score card.
Leave the filter above the list on Open. Done and Dismissed show the fixes you have closed.
Start with the fixes marked Do first. The other labels say how much work a fix is: Quick fix, A few hours or Bigger project. Risky change means a careless change could break something on your site.
Select How to fix it under a fix to see what to do.
The Fix list tab (1), Open (2), a Do first label (3) and How to fix it (4). Example business, captured October 23, 2026.
Read how to fix it
Read the steps at the top of the panel. Under them, Best handled by says who usually makes this change, for example your web developer, and Risk of breaking something says how careful to be.
Check Done when. It says what the next diagnosis looks for to count the fix as done.
Check Pages affected for the pages that need the change.
Who should handle it (1), Done when (2) and Pages affected (3). Example business, captured October 23, 2026.
Mark a fix done when it is live
Make the change on your website, or ask whoever manages it to.
When the change is live on your site, select Done next to the fix. You see “Marked done. Its effect on AI answers is measured on the Proof page.”
If a fix does not apply to your business, select the X next to it instead. It moves to Dismissed. A dismissed fix comes back under Open if a later diagnosis still finds the problem.
Done (2) and the X that dismisses a fix (3). Example business, captured October 23, 2026. To bring a fix back, select Done or Dismissed above the list, then Reopen.
The Done filter and Reopen (4). Example business, captured October 23, 2026.
Done is your word, not a check. LegitGeo measures a fix from the moment you mark it done, so mark it only once the change is live. If you reopen a fix and mark it done again, its measurement starts again from the new date.
Confirm the fix with a new diagnosis
After you mark fixes done, select Run again at the top of the Diagnosis page.
If the new diagnosis no longer finds the problem, the fix is confirmed live, and Proof notes “The next readiness check confirmed the fix is live.”
If it still finds the problem, the fix appears in your open list again and Proof leaves it out of measurement: “The next readiness check still found this problem, so it is left out of measurement.” Check the change on your site, then mark it done again.
How LegitGeo measures a fix
The night after you mark a fix done, it appears on the Proof page as a Diagnosis fix. There LegitGeo measures its verified lift: whether AI assistants named you more often in the four weeks after the fix than in the four weeks before, compared with similar businesses that changed nothing in the same weeks. Comparing with them means a model update that moved everyone does not count as your result.
A verdict takes about a month. See Find out whether a fix worked.
Turn your fix list into a 90-day plan
Select the 90-day plan tab.
Select Build my plan.
The 90-day plan tab (1) and Build my plan (2). Example business, captured October 23, 2026.
Your open fixes are sorted into three columns, First 30 days, Days 31–60 and Days 61–90. Each item says why it matters and, after Success:, how you will know it worked.
The plan is not saved, so when you come back, select Build my plan again. Once a plan is showing, the button reads Rebuild plan: select it after you change your fix list. Building a plan does not use a diagnosis.
Frequently asked questions
Can LegitGeo make the fixes for me?
No. LegitGeo tells you what to change and checks it afterwards; you or your web developer make the change. GEO Tools can write some of the pieces, such as schema markup and an llms.txt file.
Can I download the fix list?
Yes. On the score card, select Fix list (CSV) for a spreadsheet, or Client report for a file you can open in any browser or email to someone.
