Find pages to write or improve, and get a brief
Content opportunities show the pages that would help AI assistants pick you for buyer questions, and each one can become a brief or an item in the Action Center.
What content opportunities are
A content opportunity is a page you could write or improve so AI assistants pick you for a question buyers ask. LegitGeo finds them in the answers it tracks: questions where you are missing or a competitor is named instead. Each one gets a score out of 100.
They appear on their own as your tracking data comes in, so you need questions to track first. Until then you see No content opportunities yet.
Content opportunities are on the Local, Growth and Agency plans. Briefs per month: 10 on Local, 50 on Growth and 100 on Agency.
Browse your opportunities
In the sidebar, under Optimization, select Content. The page is called Content Opportunities.
Read the counts at the top: Total Opportunities, High Impact, Avg. Score and Sent to Workflow.
Narrow the list with All Prompts, All Types, All Impacts and All Statuses. Owned means content on your own site; Earned means coverage on other sites, such as articles, reviews and links.
Sort by Highest score or Newest.
Content in the sidebar (1), the counts (2), the filters (3) and the sort order (4). Example business, captured October 23, 2026.
Some opportunities also say what to do: Create a new page, Optimize, Expand or Refresh a page you have, Consolidate several pages into one, or Defend a page where you are already named.
Search-volume estimates are not switched on yet, so Est. AI Volume shows ~0/mo, Search Intent shows other, and the score comes from how visible you and your competitors are. If your site turns automated visitors away, LegitGeo cannot read your existing pages, so you see more suggestions to write a new page and fewer to improve one you have.
Open an opportunity and get a brief
Select an opportunity in the list. It opens in a panel.
Read Source Data: the question it comes from, how visible you and your strongest competitor are, and the competitors assistants cite instead.
Select Generate Brief. You see “Content brief generated!”
The opportunity (1), Source Data (2) and Generate Brief (3). The example business has search-volume estimates, so it shows a volume and an intent. Example business, captured October 23, 2026.
The brief gives a suggested title, the kind of page, a target length, keywords, an outline and what competitors cover. Each brief uses one from your monthly allowance, and the panel shows how many are left, for example 50/50 briefs remaining this month. When they are used up, Generate Brief is greyed out until your allowance resets.
Send it to the Action Center or your own tools
To turn the opportunity into an action with tasks, select Send to Actions. Afterwards the button says Open in Actions. The button appears on opportunities built from a group of similar questions, unless the opportunity is dismissed, archived or done.
To send it to a workflow tool such as Zapier, Make or n8n, select Send to Workflow. This needs a webhook first: see Send LegitGeo alerts to Zapier, Make or n8n.
To copy everything about it, select Copy All Data.
Open the More actions menu (the three dots). On a new opportunity it offers Mark as reviewed and Dismiss; on an archived one, Restore. Other opportunities have no menu.
Send to Workflow (2), Copy All Data (3) and More actions (4). Example business, captured October 23, 2026.
If you dismiss an opportunity by mistake, select Undo in the “Opportunity dismissed” message that appears straight away.
An opportunity sent to the Action Center appears on the Actions tab as a Content opportunity. See Work through your Action Center actions.
Once your webhook is set up, select Send on a row, or Send to Workflow in an opportunity. You see “Sent to workflow!” and its status becomes Sent to Workflow.
Work with several at once
Tick the boxes beside rows, then select Send All, Done, Dismiss All or Delete. To download the list, select Export CSV at the top of the page.
Dismiss keeps an opportunity out of your way. Delete removes it for good, along with any brief it had, and does not give the brief back to your allowance.
Frequently asked questions
Why do I have no content opportunities?
They come from the questions you track, so they appear only once your tracking data comes in. Add questions on Prompts and check back after the next daily run.
