Find the sites and pages AI answers link to for your questions, including the ones that cite your competitors but not you.

See the sites AI cites

When an assistant answers, it often links to the pages it used. Citations adds those links up across all your questions.

  1. In the sidebar, select Citations.

  2. Under Date Range, choose a period, such as 30d. Like Visibility, the page opens on 24h.

  3. To narrow it down, use Topic, Prompt, Platform or Region.

  4. In Top Sources, select Domains for whole websites or URLs for single pages.

  5. Choose whose sites to list: Brand (your own), Competitors, Third-Party (directories, review sites, forums and news) or All.

Citations in the sidebar (1), the date range and filters (2), Domains (3) and All (4). Made-up demo business, captured October 23, 2026.
The Citations page with the 30d range, the filters, three cards and the Top Sources list of domains with All selected.

The list opens on Brand, your own websites, so select All or Third-Party to see everyone else. Your own websites are the domains in your business’s settings. Usage is the share of answers that cite a site, and the cards at the top give Total Citations, Unique Domains and Avg citations per result.

Find sites that cite competitors but not you

  1. In Top Sources, select Competitor Gaps.

  2. Choose Gap list for the sites ranked by how many competitor answers they feed, or By competitor to group them by business.

  3. To see how the list is worked out, hover How this works.

These are often directories and review sites that assistants already trust for your area. If every site that cites a competitor also cites you, the tab says “No gap domains for these filters”.

See where one page is cited

  1. In Top Sources, select URLs.

  2. Select a page’s title.

  3. Under Cited in, read each answer that cited it: the date, assistant, question, tone, whether you were named and where.

  4. Under Prompts breakdown, see which of your questions the page wins.

Cited in (3) and Prompts breakdown (4). Made-up demo business, captured October 23, 2026.
The page for one cited URL, a thread on a neighborhood forum, with its cards, the Cited in table and the Prompts breakdown heading.

Your own pages carry an Owned badge.

Track a cited website as a competitor

  1. In Domains, select + (Add as competitor) at the end of the website’s row.

  2. Check the Name.

The Name (2) and Add (3). Made-up demo business, captured October 23, 2026.
A window asking whether to add a domain as a competitor, with a Name field and an Add button.
  3. Select Add.

The site is then checked for in every answer, like any competitor; see Compare yourself with your competitors. To download a list, select Export CSV on Domains, URLs or Competitor Gaps.

Frequently asked questions

Why is my own website not on the list?

Either no answer in the period linked to it, or its address is not in your business’s settings. Check the domains there; see Change your business details, location or website.

Is a citation the same as a mention?

No. A mention is an answer naming your business. A citation is an answer linking to a website as its source.
