Add, edit or pause the questions you track

Add the questions your customers ask AI, choose which assistants and places check each one, and see how each place counts toward your plan’s limit (25 on Local, 100 on Growth, 250 on Agency).

Updated

Add a question

A tracked question, called a prompt in the app, is something a customer might ask an AI assistant, such as “best emergency plumber in Irvine”. Write it the way a customer would say it. Admins and Managers can add, edit and delete questions; Analysts see a read-only list.

  1. In the sidebar, select Prompts.

  2. Select Add prompt at the top right.

The Prompts page, with Prompts selected in the sidebar and the Add prompt button above the table of tracked questions.
  3. Type the question.

  4. In Topic, choose the service it belongs to.

  5. Under Platform & Models, the assistants your plan checks are already selected, and the field says how many. To leave one out for this question, select the x on its name.

  6. Select Add Prompt.

The Add Prompt window with a question typed in, the Topic menu, the Platform & Models field showing the six assistants Growth checks, and the Add Prompt button.

A message confirms the question was added and is being checked. Its first answers usually arrive within an hour or so, and can take up to about two hours at busy times. If you have used today’s immediate checks, the message says the question will be picked up by the next nightly check instead.

Immediate checks per business per day: 3 on Local, with 15 minutes between them; 10 on Growth and 20 on Agency, 5 minutes apart. The nightly check does not use them.

Edit or pause a question

  1. On Prompts, select the pencil (Edit prompt) at the end of the question’s row.

  2. Change the wording, Topic or Platform & Models.

  3. To pause the question, clear the Active box. To start it again, tick it.

  4. Select Save changes.

The Edit Prompt window with the question text, Topic, four assistants under Platform & Models, the Active box ticked and the Save changes button.

Changes apply from the next check. Past answers stay with the question, even when you change its wording. A paused question shows Paused and is skipped by the nightly check, and its history stays.

Delete a question

  1. On Prompts, select the pencil (Edit prompt) on the question’s row.

  2. Select Delete at the bottom left.

  3. Select Delete again to confirm, or Keep it to go back.

Important

Deleting a question also deletes all its answers and history, and cannot be undone. Pause it instead if you might want the history later.

Ask a question from more than one place

Each question is asked from your business’s location. To see what customers elsewhere are told, add more places: a country or a US state. Each place counts once against your plan’s allowance.

  1. On Prompts, select Manage prompts.

  2. Next to All Prompts, select Locations.

Add or Remove (3), the places (4), the questions (5) and the button that applies it (6). Made-up demo business, captured October 23, 2026.
The Tracking locations window with Add selected, Arizona picked as a place to add, all 20 questions ticked, the line 20 prompts will change, and the Add (20) button.
  3. In Tracking locations, choose Add, or Remove to stop asking from a place.

  4. Under Locations to add, select Add a country or US state and pick the places.

  5. Tick the questions it applies to. All of them are ticked to start; Deselect All clears them.

  6. Select Add. The button shows how many questions will change, for example Add (20).

The new places are checked from the next nightly check. Analyze Prompts does not speed this up, because it only checks questions that have never been checked.

To change one question only, hover it in All Prompts, select its pencil (Edit prompt), use Add a country or US state under Locations, then select the tick to save. A question always keeps at least one place.

Note

Google AI Overview and Google AI Mode answer for a whole country. A US state still counts as one place, but those two assistants answer it country-wide.

How your plan’s allowance counts

Your plan allows a number of question locations: 25 on Local, 100 on Growth and 250 on Agency. One question asked from two places uses two. The allowance is shared by every business in your organization, and paused questions still count.

The Tracked Prompts card on Visibility shows how many you use, for example “20 / 100 prompt locations”. If a change would go over, the window says how many locations to remove. Delete questions, remove places or upgrade your plan. See I reached a limit on my plan.

Local ($99 a month) and Agency ($499) check ChatGPT, Google AI Overview, Perplexity and Google Gemini. Growth ($299) adds Google AI Mode and Microsoft Copilot, six assistants in all.

Find, sort and export your questions

On Prompts, type in Search prompts… to find a question, or choose To do, In progress, Done or No status in All work. Select a column heading such as Visibility, Mentions or Last run to sort. The table opens on 24h, which usually holds only the latest nightly check; choose 30d under Date Range for a steadier picture.

To download the list, select Export CSV. See Export your data to a spreadsheet.

Frequently asked questions

Does editing a question lose its history?

No. Past answers stay with the question, even after you change its wording. Only deleting removes them.

Should I write questions with my business name in them?

Usually not. Customers ask “who is the best plumber near me” or “which vet is open on Sundays”, not about you by name, and those are the answers you want to be in.
