I reached a limit on my plan

What each limit message means, from the question and business limits to the daily checks of new questions and the monthly allowances, and what you can do about it.

Updated

See what you have used

Everyone on the team can see this month’s allowances in Settings, Plan & usage: how much each one has used, how many are left, and Allowances reset on with your billing day. Not included means your plan does not have that tool. For the steps, see See how much of your plan is left this month.

Businesses

LegitGeo calls each business a brand. Local includes 1, Growth 3 and Agency 10. At the limit, Add Brand on Brands shows a crown and opens Billing, where an admin can upgrade.

Paused businesses still count. To add a new one, delete one you no longer need or upgrade. See Pause or delete a business.

You can end up with more businesses than the plan allows, for example after you restart on a smaller plan. They stay in your account, but only the oldest ones are tracked. Pausing one of those lets the next oldest take its place.

Questions and places

The question limit counts prompt locations: each question counts once for every place it is asked from, so one question asked in three places uses three. Local tracks 25, Growth 100 and Agency 250, shared by every business in your organization.

  1. Select Visibility in the sidebar.

  2. Read the line under Tracked Prompts, for example 20 / 100 prompt locations. An Upgrade link appears there once you use 90%. It opens Settings; select Billing.

Visibility (1) and the prompt locations you use out of your plan’s limit (2). Harborline Plumbing is a made-up business; screen captured October 23, 2026.
The Visibility page with the Tracked Prompts card showing "20 / 100 prompt locations".

When a change would go over, the message starts “Your Local plan allows up to 25 tracked prompt locations” (with your plan’s numbers) and says how many to remove. Remove places from a question, delete questions you no longer need, or upgrade. Paused questions still count toward this limit when you add new ones.

If you have more than the plan allows, for example after you restart on a smaller plan, the oldest questions keep being tracked and the rest are skipped until you pause older ones or upgrade.

Checking new questions straight away

A question you add with Add prompt on Prompts is checked straight away, within an allowance for each business each day: Local 3 checks a day with at least 15 minutes between them, Growth 10 a day and Agency 20 a day with at least 5 minutes between them. Analyze Prompts on a business’s Prompts page uses the same allowance.

When the allowance is used up, Add prompt still saves the question, and the message says it will be picked up by the next tracking run. When you use Analyze Prompts, you may see “Daily on-demand analysis limit reached (3/day). Next analyses will run with the daily scheduled job.” or “Please wait 12 minutes before running another analysis.” (with your own numbers). Either way, the question is checked in the next daily run.

The daily run itself never uses this allowance. See My results have not appeared yet.

Monthly allowances

Some tools have a monthly allowance. The message says, for example, “You have used all 20 diagnoses in your Local plan this month. They reset on November 3. Upgrade for more.”

Site diagnoses: 20 a month on Local, 60 on Growth, 200 on Agency.

GEO tool runs: 100, 400 and 1,000.

Map-grid points: 700, 4,000 and 7,000. A 7 by 7 grid uses 49.

Crawled pages: 1,000, 5,000 and 10,000.

Chatbot answers: 1,500, 7,500 and 15,000.

Review reply drafts: 200, 600 and 2,000.

Map-grid points and review reply drafts belong to Local Rankings and Reviews, whose live Google Maps scans and Google connection are not switched on yet.

Content briefs are not shown on Plan & usage, only in their message when you reach them: 10, 50 and 100 a month, “Monthly content brief limit reached”. They also reset when your subscription renews.

Articles shows Not included on every plan.

Raise a limit

An admin can upgrade in Settings, Billing, and the new limits apply straight away. See Upgrade or downgrade your plan and Compare plans.

A downgrade is refused while you have more businesses or prompt locations than the smaller plan allows, paused ones included. The message names the numbers, for example “The Local plan includes 1 brand and 25 tracked prompt locations. You have 3 and 40. Remove the extra ones, then change the plan.” See If the smaller plan doesn’t fit.

A message that says “An active subscription or free trial is required” is not a plan limit: the subscription is not active. See I see Subscription required or my payment failed.

Frequently asked questions

Do team members count toward a limit?

No. Local, Growth and Agency all include unlimited team members.

Does the daily run use up my monthly allowances?

No. Asking your questions every day is not metered. Your business and question limits are the only caps on it.
