Pause or delete a business
Pause tracking to keep a business’s history without new checks, or delete it for good; neither lowers your bill, and a paused business still counts toward your plan’s business limit.
Pause or delete: which to choose
Pause a business to stop its checks for a while and keep everything recorded so far, for example a seasonal location or a client on hold. You can resume at any time.
Delete a business only when you are sure you will never need its results again. Deleting removes its answers, questions, topics, competitors and content, and it can’t be undone.
Neither one changes your bill: your plan has the same price however many businesses are paused or deleted. To pay less, move to a smaller plan. A smaller plan needs your account to fit it first, so delete businesses or questions until both counts are within its limits, for example 3 businesses and 100 questions for Growth. Pausing doesn’t count. See Upgrade or downgrade your plan.
Only admins can pause, resume or delete a business.
Pause tracking for a business
In the sidebar, select Brands.
On the business’s card, select Settings.
On the General tab, scroll down to the Tracking card.
Select Pause tracking.
The Tracking card (3) and Pause tracking (4). Screen from October 23, 2026.
You see “Tracking paused”. From now on the nightly checks and any on-demand runs stop for that business, and its history stays where it is. It shows Paused on its card and in the business switcher, and its Daily Pulse and monthly report emails stop.
To start again, select Resume tracking in the same place. You see “Tracking resumed”, and checks pick up from the next nightly run.
A paused business still counts toward your plan’s business limit, and its questions still count toward your question limit. Pausing does not make room for a new business.
Delete a business
Before you delete, download any reports you want to keep and export the data you need. See Create a report and Export your data.
In the sidebar, select Brands, then Settings on the business’s card.
Select the Danger Zone tab.
Under Type the brand name to confirm:, type the business name exactly as shown, with the same capitals and spaces.
Select Delete Brand Permanently. The button stays greyed out until the name matches.
Danger Zone (2), the name to type and the box for it (3), and Delete Brand Permanently (4). Screen from October 23, 2026.
You see “Brand deleted.” and return to Brands. A business with a lot of history can take a few minutes: you then see “Deleting the brand. It has a lot of data, so this can take a few minutes.”, and it finishes on its own.
If it was your only business, Brands shows No brands yet with Add Brand.
There is no undo. Once a business is deleted, its results can’t be brought back.
