Manage several clients in one account

How an agency runs client work on the Agency plan: the shared question limit, separate emails and reports for each client, and why a client should get reports rather than a login that shows every business.

For agenciesUpdated

How the Agency plan fits client work

The Agency plan is $499 a month and holds up to 10 client businesses, with 250 questions shared between them. Each client is its own business, with its own questions, competitors, results, fix list and reports. To add one, see Add another business.

Agency checks every client on ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity and Gemini. If you look after three clients or fewer, Growth ($299) holds 3 businesses and 100 questions, and adds Google AI Mode and Microsoft Copilot.

Share the question limit between clients

The 250 questions belong to the whole account, so plan them per client before you start: 10 clients with 25 questions each use them all.

There is no running total of questions: Plan & usage in Settings counts monthly allowances, not questions. Instead, when new questions would take the account past 250, the questions screen in setup, or saving on a business’s Prompts page, tells you how many to remove.

A paused client still uses its questions. To free them for someone else, delete the questions or the business. For each plan’s limits, see Compare plans.

Keep each client’s emails separate

Each client business has its own box under Settings, Notifications, with its own Daily Pulse frequency and Recipients. Admins and managers can change them. For the steps, see Choose who gets your Daily Pulse.

Type a client’s addresses in that client’s Recipients, and add your own if you want a copy. Clients don’t need a LegitGeo login. Once Recipients has any address in it, only those addresses get that client’s Daily Pulse, monthly report and SEO alert emails. Leave it empty and everyone in your account gets them.

A paused client has no box until its tracking resumes.

The buttons in these emails open the LegitGeo dashboard, which a client without a login can’t open. Tell clients to read the email itself, and send them PDF reports for the detail.

Send a client a report

  1. Switch to the client’s business. See Switch between your businesses.

  2. In the sidebar, select Reports, then Generate Report.

  3. Choose a Template, check that Brand shows the client, set the Date Range, and select Generate Report.

  4. Open the report from Generated Reports, select Download PDF, and send the file to your client.

A report shows only the business it was made for. For the templates and sections, see Create a report and download it as a PDF.

Why a client should get reports, not a login

Everyone you invite to your LegitGeo account sees every business in it. There is no way to limit a person to one business, so a client with a login would see your other clients, their questions, competitors and results.

Give logins to your own staff and pick the role that fits: Admin for everything, including billing and the team; Manager to change businesses, questions and settings; Analyst to view only. Agency Partner is view only too, the same as Analyst today. See Invite teammates and Team roles.

Send clients their Daily Pulse, monthly report and PDF reports instead. Those show only their own business.

Important

An email address can belong to one LegitGeo account at a time. If a client who already has their own LegitGeo account accepts your invitation, they are moved out of their account and into yours.

Frequently asked questions

Can I give a teammate access to only some clients?

No. Every person in the account can see every business. Use separate emails and PDF reports to keep clients apart.

Do API keys reach every client?

Yes. An API key works for the whole account, whoever created it, so give keys only to people and tools you trust with every client.

I look after more than 10 businesses. What are my options?

An agency can also join the partner program, which creates an account for each business and shows results through a card, a hosted report or your own reporting. See Offer LegitGeo inside your platform.
