Check whether AI assistants can read your website
Run the free check on your website without an account, get a score in about a minute, and email yourself the full report.
The free check reads up to 10 public pages of your website the way AI assistants do. It tells you whether the robots that ChatGPT, Google, Perplexity and others send can get in, scores how easy your pages are to read and quote, and lists the three fixes to make first. It is free and needs no account.
Run the check
Go to app.legitgeo.com/check, or select Check your website free at the top of legitgeo.com.
In Your website, type your address, for example

Keep the tab open. A card shows Checking with your address, a timer and four steps: Reading your pages, Checking AI crawler access, Scoring and Writing your fixes.
Read your result: your score out of 100 and grade, a score for each of six areas, which AI crawlers are allowed, and your Top 3 fixes.

Most checks finish in 30 to 90 seconds, and the page scrolls to your result by itself. The address in your browser then ends in ?id= and a long code. Bookmark that page to come back to your result. Understand your free check score explains each part.
Anyone who has the result link can open it, so you can send it to the person who looks after your website.
Email yourself the full report
The email has every score, the crawler results and, for each fix, why it matters and how to fix it.
Under your result, find Get the full report.
Type your address in Email address.
Optional: tick Also send me occasional tips on showing up in AI answers. Unsubscribe any time.
Select Send my report.
The box changes to Your report is on its way. The email arrives within a few minutes, with a subject such as “Your AI readiness report for yourbusiness.com: 62/100”.
Ticking the tips box does not sign you up on its own. Select Confirm that you want them in the email, then select Yes, send me tips on the page that opens. No tips are sent until you do.
One result can be emailed 3 times, and one address can get 3 reports a day. If you see Email could not be sent, select Try again. If you see Email reports are temporarily unavailable, your result is still at the page’s address: bookmark it and try again later.
Check another website
Change the address in Your website.
Select Check another site. It is the same button as before: its name changes once a result is showing.
If that website was checked by anyone in the last 24 hours, you see the earlier result straight away instead of a new check.
Check again after you fix something
The check keeps each result for 24 hours. If you run it again within a day, you get the same result, even if you have already made a fix. Wait until the next day, then run it again to see your new score.
www.yourbusiness.com and yourbusiness.com count as the same website.
A higher score means AI assistants can read your site more easily. To find out whether they now name you more often, you need tracking, which comes with a plan.
If the check shows a message instead of a result
Read the message under Your website. It says what to change, for example to type the address like

If you see We couldn’t finish checking and your website, select Try again. If a check runs for more than 4 minutes, the page stops waiting and asks you to try again.
Each visitor can start 5 new checks an hour. After that you see You’ve reached the free check limit for now. If the checker is busy, you are asked to try again in a few minutes. More help: The free check failed or shows an old score.
The check reads public pages only, and it does not store your pages.

Is the free check really free?
Yes. It needs no account and no card. Each visitor can start 5 checks an hour.
Does the check change anything on my website?
No. It only reads your public pages, the way an AI crawler does, and it does not store them.
Who can see my result?
Anyone who has the result link. Result pages are hidden from search engines, so people only find one if you share its link.
Why is my score the same after I fixed something?
A website checked in the last 24 hours shows its earlier result. Run the check again the next day.
